How-to cards

These are the same renewal guides attached to each deadline in your dashboard: where to go, a few clear steps, and fee notes when we have them. Add your own shop, agent, phone, and memo on the deadline itself. DueHaul reminds you, and you handle the renewal. We don't file for you.

We do not guarantee that every link, step, or fee note here is complete or still correct, because agencies change their pages and rules. You are fully responsible for confirming the details and filing on the official websites yourself.

CDL

Where to renew

IL SOS CDL (or your state DMV CDL page)

https://www.ilsos.gov/departments/drivers/drivers-license/cdl/cdl.html

  1. Check your CDL expiration date and any endorsement renewals. H and X endorsements need TSA timing.
  2. Confirm your medical self-certification and make sure your DOT medical is current.
  3. Gather what your state asks for, like a vision test, fees, and an appointment if one is required.
  4. Renew through your state's CDL facility or process.
  5. Update the date in DueHaul after you renew.

On the actual deadline in Dashboard, you can customize the place, contacts, and memo so you're not starting from scratch next year.

Med card

Where to renew

FMCSA National Registry: find a certified examiner

https://nationalregistry.fmcsa.dot.gov/search-medical-examiners

  1. Search the National Registry for a certified examiner near you.
  2. Book the DOT physical, and bring your medication list, glasses or CPAP info, and your prior card.
  3. Keep your Medical Examiner Certificate.
  4. Update your state CDL medical certification if your state requires it.
  5. Put the new expiration date in DueHaul and add the clinic under My place and contacts.

On the actual deadline in Dashboard, you can customize the place, contacts, and memo so you're not starting from scratch next year.
